Exploring a collegiate theme in a casual manner.
For our final drop of the season as we transition into the cooler months, we focus on heavier outwear and knits with a reference to Ben Sherman’s Ivy League connection. The term Ivy League was created in the 1930s to refer to the USA’s most prestigious academic establishments with ivy plants growing profusely over the stone walls. Although the term was coined on the west of the Atlantic, it aptly describes England’s oldest universities Cambridge and Oxford, the style they became known for, and the social prestige associated with attending such a place.
In this collection, garment shapes and patterns have been reinvented through colour & fabrication. We explore a heavier hand feel in woven shirts and shackets as well as moving into weightier knitwear pieces with collegiate detailing.
The Modern Parka has created to be layered over roll neck sweaters and the classic outerwear shape has been updated for a contemporary winter look. Burnt orange continues into our final drop of the season adding warmth and complementing the khaki workwear tones which are bass notes throughout the season.
